This Weeks Hotel Stays Part 1

This weeks travels had me visiting Cyprus, London and Northern Ireland. All flights this week were with British Airways.

Hotel Stays Pt. 1London 02/10/16 – Greenwood Hotel.

I started the week off on Sunday(?!) night with a stay at The Greenwood Hotel, Northolt, London. The hotel is around 8 miles from Heathrow so it is close enough to commute back and forth to the airport without being directly under the flight path and also not full of tourists. Breakfast is not included but they are a JD Wetherspoon site so food is good value in the restaurant below. The hotel has only been open three months so everything is still in great condition.

Score 9/10

Larnaca, Cyprus 03/10/16 – Livadhiotis City Hotel

The hotel is set 2 roads back from the seafront, I stayed in a “Superior” double room which had a balcony with sea views. Breakfast is included in the price and includes hot and cold food. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I will continue to use this hotel any time I’m in Cyprus on business.

Score 8/10

London 04/10/16 – Greenwood Hotel

Back to the Greenwood Hotel for another 1 night stay. Excellent stay with Friendly staff.

Score 8/10

Belfast/Antrim, Northern Ireland. Holiday Inn Express Antrim – M2 Jct. 1

Not my best stay at an IHG property by a long shot, the room was cold due to a poorly sealing window. I had to switch the radiator on which as a Frugalfox really upset me especially as it’s not winter yet. The hotel was noisy up until 11pm, i found out the next day that this was because the hotel was full of coachloads of children. Breakfast was excellent, far superior to the English HIX breakfast. It includes bacon, mushrooms and porridge on top of the usual (Sausage, beans, scrambled egg).

Score 6/10 – Too cold, too noisy.

Have you stayed in a great hotel lately, let me know in the comments below.
